Received distress signal at 1:21 AM on March 29th, 20XX. Captain Kayden Crenshaw called in reporting an unknown assailant had attacked Tracking Unit SGP-6. His locator was damaged so dispatch began tracking through the subdermal chip. Captain Crenshaw died before Recovery Unit 9 arrived on the scene. They then fell under fire from the unknown assailant as well. Recovery Unit 7 and Demolition Unit 3 arrived to help and the assailant disappeared shortly after. Heavy casualties for Tracking Unit SGP-6 and Recovery Unit 9, minor casualties for Recovery Unit 7.
The assailant remains unknown due to a cloak and mask. Captain Crenshaw’s final words indicated the man’s mask was unusual in some way, but it’s currently unknown what he meant. It’s suspected the man is involved in the Mortesan cult due to the bird-like design.
Investigation Unit 4 concluded Tracking Unit SGP-6 fell under fire by several assailants after killing a child consumed with morphosis. Only the masked man remained when the backup units arrived.
Captain Crenshaw reported only one assailant despite the conclusion given by Investigation Unit 4. Further inquiry was prevented by Colonel [REDACTED]. Internal investigation applied for but was denied. The repeal was also denied without reason. Lieutenant General [REDACTED] instructed the case to be closed without reason.
